This summer Scope Urban Apparel dropped our first mixtape featuring the lineup of Scope Artists. The project was mixed by DJ Leah V and released for digital download and debuted live on UnRegular Radio.

For the cover art, I worked on creating a mostly photographic cover that played on the title of the tape. Using small flags, a hand cut stencil of the Scope logo and flammable spray paint, I covered a selection of the flag and set it ablaze, creating the logo in flame through the flag. We then took pictures and videos until it burned itself out and selected the best shots for the front and back covers.

The process was fun and pretty simple to execute once the idea came up – but the results far exceeded our expectations. Perhaps this is could be a new medium for us. The final covers perfectly suited the purpose of breaking Scope into the music game with an attention grabbing cover.

We also developed promo materials and a web graphics based on the same images.
