Pinky Ring Espresso
This project was another one orchestrated by my friend and mentor Rob Stull. Back in the day we did a cover for NY MC / Producer Tribeca’s project ‘R U Gon’ Hit?‘ which Rob Illustrated in his iconic style. He enlisted veteran colorist Thomas Mason for the colors and I had the honor of assisting with final details and layout. For “Pinky Ring Espresso”, Geechi Suede of Camp Lo (Who was also on ‘R U Gon Hit?’) Rob assembled the same team and this is what we came up with. I also worked on a back cover, promo and merch designs. More importantly I found a lifelong friend and B-Day twin in Geechi Suede who, like Rob is generous with his experience and wisdom.
Update: In June 2022, Rob and Suede joined Arielle Gray at the ISGM for a conversation about “Value” and discussed this collaboration.
